Trimming & Proofing!

Wow, time flies when you’re knee-deep in concision cuts and finding typos (and a lot of them!).

I’ve finished (to the best of my ability) a pretty substantial cut from my beta manuscript! For those of you that received beta copies for feedback, I’m sure you’ll have come across the odd repeated word word, hanging punctuation, and other weird artifacts. Just consider it a slight nod to the craft and the fact that I’m a human, hah!

That being said, I’m feeling pretty proud of the new draft which puts it at a much more reasonable length for querying.

On that note — I feel like I’m ready to take this next step. I will begin the journey that every hopeful author stumbles upon: navigating the exciting waters of researching agents, agencies, comps, and sending the all-important query letter out.

It's been quite the research journey, but I'm excited to dive in!

On a personal note, I just got back from Japan a couple of weeks ago and, wow, I miss that place! Third time there and it doesn’t get old. If you ever get a chance, please make the trek out there. You might recognize some places that…might or might not make their way into Book II of the Ouroboros Chronicles. (Just saying!)

As always, my inbox is open to all! Reach out via DM or email, I’d love to chat.
